Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

Applying for a loan means handing over some of the most sensitive information you have — your income, your identity documents, your bank statements. This page sets out exactly what we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Scope

This policy applies to financebazarindia.com and to the services we provide through it. Finance Bazar Pvt Ltd is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, meaning we decide why and how it is processed.

Registered office: Bhairunda, Sehore District, Madhya Pradesh - 466331, India. CIN: U65990MP2026PTC084920.

2. What we collect

Depending on what you ask us to do, we may collect:

  • Identity — name, date of birth, gender, father's or spouse's name, photograph, PAN, and Aadhaar verification details (see section 5).
  • Contact — mobile number, email address, residential and office addresses.
  • Financial — income, employment type and employer, existing loans and EMIs, bank account details, and bank statements you upload.
  • Credit — your credit information report and score, obtained from credit information companies with your consent.
  • Documents — the files you upload, such as identity proof, address proof, income proof and cancelled cheques.
  • Technical — IP address, device and browser information, and pages visited, collected as you use the site.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you, when you fill in a form, upload a document or speak to our team.
  • From our partners — the DSA or connector who introduced you, where one did.
  • From verification providers and credit information companies, when we run the checks you consented to.
  • Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies as you browse.

4. Why we use it

We use your data to:

  • Verify who you are, as we and our lending partners are required to do.
  • Assess and prepare your application, and present it to lenders that may be able to serve you.
  • Keep you updated on the progress of an application.
  • Meet our legal, regulatory and audit obligations, and prevent fraud and money laundering.
  • Operate, secure and improve the platform.

We rely on your consent for verification, credit checks and sharing with lenders; on the necessity of performing the service you asked for; and on our legal obligations where the law requires us to keep or disclose records.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. How we handle your Aadhaar

Aadhaar deserves its own section, because it is the document people are most often asked to hand over carelessly.

  • Verification is done through a UIDAI-authorised verification provider, using an OTP sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. It happens only when you enter that OTP.
  • We do not store your Aadhaar number. Our records keep only the last four digits, a masked form (XXXX XXXX 1234), and an irreversible cryptographic hash used solely to recognise a repeat verification so you are not asked to verify twice.
  • Where an Aadhaar image is uploaded, we generate and show a masked copy to staff who do not need the full document, and access to the original is restricted and logged.
  • We do not retain the offline eKYC share code or the raw XML payload returned by the verification service.
  • Aadhaar details are used only for identity verification and are never used for advertising or profiling.

6. Who we share it with

  • Banks and NBFCs — the lenders we approach on your behalf, so they can assess your application. Once you deal with a lender, its own privacy policy also applies to you.
  • Credit information companies — to obtain your credit report with your consent.
  • Verification providers — to check identity and bank account details.
  • Service providers — cloud hosting, communications and analytics suppliers who process data on our instructions and are bound to protect it.
  • Authorities — where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or a court or regulatory order.
  • Our partner who introduced you — the DSA or connector handling your case sees the application they are working on.

7. Where it is stored

Your data and uploaded documents are stored on cloud infrastructure located in India (Mumbai region). Where a service provider needs to process data outside India, we do so only as permitted by law and under contractual safeguards.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then for as long as the law requires us to retain records — for KYC and lending records in India, this is generally several years after the relationship ends. When a retention period expires, we delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.

If you never proceed past an enquiry, we keep the enquiry for a shorter period and delete it after that.

9. How we protect it

  • Traffic to and from the site is encrypted in transit.
  • Access to applications and documents is restricted by role, so staff and partners see only the cases they are working on.
  • Access to sensitive identity documents is additionally restricted and logged.
  • Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in readable form.

No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as required.

10. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you may ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct or complete data that is wrong or out of date.
  • Erase data we no longer need and are not required to keep.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
  • Address a grievance about how we have handled your data.

Write to support@financebazarindia.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. We may need to verify your identity before acting, so that nobody else can make a request in your name.

11. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent for verification, credit checks or sharing with lenders at any time by writing to support@financebazarindia.com. Withdrawal applies going forward — it does not undo processing already carried out, and we may be unable to continue an application without it. Records we are legally required to retain will be kept for their retention period.

12. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.

13. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child's data has been given to us, tell us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform develops or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed, and we will tell you about significant changes.

15. Contact and grievances

For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right described in section 10:

  • Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, Finance Bazar India
  • Email: support@financebazarindia.com
  • Phone: +91 98765 43210
